BIBLE STORIES OF KNOWLEDGEThe Bible is a Christian's Well of Knowledge, but it's not only intended for Christians. The Bible is also a source for non-Christians seeking faith. Some of the most thoughtful stories in the Bible deal with those of knowledge. The Bible story of King Solomon mirrors wisdom and strength. If you're a Christian, odds are that you're familiar with this Bible story. Solomon was faced with two mothers and one child. To determine the rightful mother, the King decided to cut the child in half and give each woman an equal share. Of course, the real mother couldn't bear the thought of her child being killed, so she surrendered him to the other woman. This let the Wise King know who the real mother of the baby was. Other Bible stories of knowledge include Jesus writing in the sand when faced with a difficult question. I wonder what He wrote in the sand? Might it have been, "Thy shalt not kill?" Another great Bible story of knowledge depicted hairless Jonah sulking in the hot sun because Nineveh had been spared. God may not have agreed with Jonah's solemn mood, but He caused a great gourd vine to grow so that His servant would be sheltered. And finally, one of the greatest Bible stories of knowledge involves the Prodigal Son. God always welcomes His children who have gone astray back into His fold. And that's a very comforting Bible story.
