Saving Money on
Trendy Toys
What does a kid enjoy playing with
more - a cardboard box or an expensive toy? A cardboard box,
of course. What do you give a kid for Christmas - a cardboard
box or an expensive toy? Right.
Kids are so easy to please because
they generally want everything. That means every toy that
hits the store. We've become a society that believes the following:
"If I don't give my child
(or grandchild) everything that they want, I'm not a good parent."
On that note, some
money saving tips to consider before you buy:
Take
a good look at the toy which your little one is requesting. Is
it due to advertising? Or, do they really love the toy? If
you decide to purchase the toy, how does it measure up to Quality?
Is it a toy that will last a long while, or it is one they will
soon discard?
It's good for kids to have a collection because that pattern carries
over into adulthood. Just make certain that the collection
is of one or two series of toys rather than a collection of every
toy on the market.
Give your child the opportunity to shop with you during the holiday
season to purchase a toy for a needy child. Next, allow your
child to go with you to the donation center. This helps teach kids
that it's good to receive, but it's also important to give to others,
especially to those in need. It will also help them realize
their own good fortune.
