Mother In Law Poems

A collection of Mother in Law poems dedicated to those who suffer from mean mother in law encounters - by Sky Taylor.

The Prince, The Princess & The Mother-In-Law - It could have been a marriage made in heaven if not for the Mama.

There once was a Prince who sat on a gold throne,With his Princess beside him, he was not alone.
Next to her sat an ancient old toad,One that Prince wanted to kick to the road.

The old toad had a name, she was called Mama,She had hair of silver, and the nostrils of a llama.
Castle life was miserable with Mama around,For she was always tearing the good Prince down.

Princess loved Mama and took heart in her words,She was a wise old owl, a tough old bird.
Prince loved his Princess, but not her Mama,Who had hair of silver and the nostrils of a llama.

One day a magician passed through the kingdom,Prince paid him handsomely, a nice fat sum,
For making Mama vanish from the castle,Prince was glad, gone was his hassle.

Princess was sad, wanted her Mama back,Protested by dressing in ashes and a sack.
She now looked familiar to the Prince,Just like her Mama, he recompensed.

Time passed and Princess continued to whine,Morning, noon and night when the moon shined.
Prince decided that one can't run from Mama,For a daughter is just a Mama with a comma.

The Headless Mother-In-Law - The night was black, a blanket of stars knitted into the invisible sky covering the woods where the evil mother-in-law was holed-up....

The sky was black, Sun had vanished for the night,As the Mother in Law sat by the flickering campfire light,
Hunkered down, holed-up until daylight,Gretta thinking the situation wasn't at all right.

For she and her hubby Steve, were on holiday,The night was suppose to be fun and gay.
But Mother, she had begged to come along,Singing to Steve her familiar, "I'm so lonely" song.

Steve had relented when he should have repented,Telling Mother to hop on board, Gretta's moment dented.
Mother would gawk at them all evening long,The protective, overbearing, Great King Kong.

Then Mother was busy ordering Gretta & Steve about,As Gretta sat enraged, blanketed in a deep pout.
Steve seen the errors of his ways too late,He already knew his forthcoming fate.

Yes, Steve had learned his lesson too late,His gullible spirit had sealed his fate.
But next time, too bad for Mother could not come,For although Steve was gullible, he wasn't dumb.

Stomped.  Again - The day that Harold got stomped. Again.

Mother in Law told Harold, "You'll always be wrong,It you live to be a hundred, it's the same old song.

You're a total idiot, lacking both grit and wit,If you had a brain, you'd take it out and play with it."

Harold sized up his Mother in Law's tongue,Gave a stiff stare to her oversized lungs.

After a spell, he ended the uncomfortable lull,Saying, "Mother, believe me, the feeling is mutual...."

Thank You Poem for Mother in Law - Thanks for the Misery

Mother in law, thank you for your heartless candor,  For reminding me of my head full of dander,

For telling me that my feet are too big, That my hair is too thin, and in need of a wig.

Thank for sharing your thoughts on my cooking, It's nice to know that you've been looking.

Thanks for sharing this all with my kids, Thank you for telling them all that I did

That you thought needed improvement without delay, Because they like to listen to everything that you say.

Thank you for delivering my heart on a platter, To my spouse of ten years, but that didn't matter.

Thank you for sicking your big dog on my cat, Thank you for sitting on my best Sunday hat.

My thank you bell is suddenly all out of rings, For mother in law, I must say thanks for nothing.
