Humorous Stories - Tin Soldiers Go On Warpath

Ten tin soldiers surprised everyone at the North Pole today when they marched off the job in protest of long hours without pay and being forced to hear elves sing from sun-up to sundown. Furthermore, they have obtained an attorney and plan to file a class action lawsuit.

One of the tin soldiers claims that his drum was scarred for life when Santa borrowed it for one of his private jam sessions. "One minute, my drum was the beautiful instrument that I knew it to be, the next - Santa's throwing around his weight, snatching up anything and everything that doesn't belong to him. The reindeers are fed up with the situation as well, but are too frightened to speak out. The last time that happened, Rudolph ended up getting busted in the nose. Then there was this huge cover-up story about Rudolph's nose saving the day. Huh!"

When Ebook Nook's Tickle Feather contacted Santa, he informed us, "We at the North Pole fear that the tin soldiers were accidentally coated with lead paint, thus lending visions of war drums in their little wooden heads. Furthermore, the ten tin soldiers were originally intended to be nutcrackers but there was a glitch in the assembly line, so everything went downhill from there."

Ms. Clause added, "Yes, and when they discovered that Santa planned to run them through the assembly line so that their crackers could be added, that is when they walked out of Toyland. Humph! In quite a huff, too."

Santa squinted his eyes and eased out, "One was walking so fast he smelled slightly of a lit campfire."
